The Library and Information Science (LIS) team started their Faculty of Education Freshers Tournament campaign in grand style, thrashing Chemistry Education (Chem Edu) 5-0 in their opening match. With this impressive victory, LIS sits comfortably at the top of the table.
The tournament, organized by the NUESA (Nigeria University Education Students Association) Director of Sports, is designed to welcome 100-level students and promote sportsmanship within the faculty.
From the blast of the whistle, LIS took control of the game, wasting no time before finding the back of the net. Their attacking force proved too strong for Chem Edu, who struggled to contain the pressure. Despite their efforts, Chem Edu had no response as LIS kept piling on the goals until the final whistle.
With this result, LIS have sent a strong message to other teams in the tournament. As the competition continues, all eyes will be on them to see if they can maintain their dominance.
